Friday 9th July walking from Groby Pool to Newtown Linford. approx. 4 .5 miles.

Groby Pool

View of the pool with a good selection of locals on show.

An interesting moment as we came across cows with calves, mum not happy with strangers.

Dad is always on the look out.  Wouldn't argue with him.

Good to be out in the country walking across fields after the last couple of years of restrictions.

Heading down to Newtown Linford.

We had 25 walkers today so for our break we split up into three adjoining cafes helping us all to get our drinks fairly quickly.

A very unusual table.

On our way back.

Via the local pony club.

Out into the wild flower meadows - fabulous!

A cross road, must take the right route, a few walkers drifted on to the wrong path in the woods.

Over the brow of the hill with Groby in the distance.

Last wild flower meadow before we take a concrete road back up to the car park.

Oops forgot to mention the ford. Fortunately, there had been no rain recently so water levels were down to a very acceptable level.

A bit of fun to end the day.

Good walk, looking forward to next week.
