Walking in and around Burbage Woods 30/07/21 app 5mls.

Well the weather forecast was not  good.  Waterproofs were the order of the day.

This stile certainly looked a little bit on the shaky side.

And it was!

Brambles are growing ever so well.

Fortunately, we didn't have to cross this field with all the cows in it.

Regrouping.

Still a bit grey.

Burbage common and woods - very popular with walkers.

On the way down to the visitor centre.

The ginger cake is wonderful.

Entering the woods.

Just about to go under the Leicester to Birmingham railway line.

On the way back to the car park.

Used to be a coffee stop but looks like Covid finished it off.

Luckily, rain stayed away until we got back to the cars.  Good walk, looking forward to next week.
