Friday 9/12/2022 Peatling Magna to Foston Church. There and back approx 4.5 mls.

Temperatures were up to 2/3 degrees this morning but destined to go no higher so we all arrived at the Cock Inn in Peatling Magna suitably dressed.

Of we go, no sorry this was a group of ramblers that were using the same car park as us this morning.

The local library,  eye catching in its bright red livery.

Some walked on the left, some on the right. This is a ploy to confuse car drivers.

We took the gated road to Foston.

Worn out.

Got to say the countryside around this area is outstanding.

Somebody going the wrong way?

Dressage we think.

Traffic jam in the countryside.

We, being of a nosey nature, decided to pop into the church to have a pre-view of the Christmas Tree Festival.

St Bartholomeus is a lovely old church, well cared for by its parishioners.

Leaving Foston on our way back to Peatling Magna.

Lovely toffee apples used in a very striking Christmas display outside the Cock Inn.

Smashing walk, a very cold, crisp kind of day but very pleasant in the winter sunshine.

Off to Cherry Lane Garden Centre in Countesthorpe for a cup of coffee etc where some of our non walkers of the day were waiting for us.

See you all next week.
