Wet, wet, wet, that has been the weather for the last few days so we decided on a tarmac walk from Blaby to Leicester.
We entered the nature reserve at Glen Parva via the Great Central railway path from Blaby.
Along the walk the predominant plant was cow parsley, various local names were offered. (Old mans Baccy, and Keck)
The Castle gardens and a Foxglove Tree.
After about 3 miles we stopped for a few minutes.
Leaving the country behind and entering the city.
Crossing the Canal.
Swans waiting for food from passers-by.
Castle Park
