9th June 2023 Walking from Wistow Park via Kilby and Newton Harcourt.

Somebody chose the overflow car park

There was plenty of room, until the friendly herd of cows arrived.

They seem to think it was a gigantic ice lolly, nice colour ice blue, very cooling.

After realising there was going to be a big washing job looming our walker decided to move to another car park.

He is moving girls and boys, time for one quick last lick.

Over here, this one is green, not so cool.

This is my best side thank you.

Full portrait if you insist.

After all the fun we decided to start our walk.

Very warm afternoon.

 Somebody going the wrong way?

Our first stile of the day.

There were two or three more to contend with.

Farmer with rows of maize we thought.

This clock had stopped or we were early?

    Admiring the view, very relaxing.

A couple of obstacles.

These fields were suffering with the weather.

On our way up to the canal.

Well groomed horses.

More horses coming along to say hello.

The canal and a very welcome cool breeze.

Swans are territorial we believe.

Soon we will be walking through Newton Harcourt and down to Wistow.   We're all ready for a cooling drink.

Wistow Garden Centre Café,  very welcome drinks and happy faces.

Great walk must find another one for next week. See you all soon.
