The weather forecast suggested that we should be able to
complete the walk before it started to rain.
12 of us (with Willie
and Sheila, returned from their holidays) met in Cosby Village Hall Car Park
and set off towards the allotments.
We took the short route across the fields to Broughton
Astley, which meant that we arrived before opening time at the pub and therefore stopped
for coffee and excellent home made cake in the cafe – the pleasant weather
allowing us to sit outdoors in the continental manner.

Coming back via Cottage Lane, then under the disused railway
line we went through two fields of cows (bullocks). We had been warned and did
consider an alternative route, however, we all felt brave and successfully made it to Shuttleworth Lane.

We just made it back to the car park when it began to gently
rain.
See you all next week 10.30am Cosby Village Hall car park.
