23/08/19 Walking from Huncote via Croft Hill to Croft and back app 5.3 mls.

After leaving Huncote we walked into the nature reserve at the base of Croft Hill and made our way to the very end of the track.

Very green and plenty of good country views with the stream running alongside for a little way.

We turned off the track for the hike to the top of Croft Hill - the pictures say it all.

At the top, phew!  - but the views were worth it!

Continuing our walk along the top of the quarry side.

A clear day and stunning views.

Huncote in the distance.

Looks like Dinky toys at the bottom of the quarry.

Making our descent through the trees.

Walking into Croft and we're all ready for a cuppa.

Outside the Heathcote Arms.

The peace was shattered by two military jets flying so low overhead they made us jump.

The return trip was along the bottom of the hill rather than the top.

Back into Huncote, the weather turned out very warm in the early afternoon .
