29th July 2022 walking from Gumley via Debdale Wharf and Foxton Locks. app 5 mls.

Meeting on a beautiful morning just outside of Gumley.

                                       

On our way down to Debdale Wharf.

                                       

Debdale Wharf where we leave the single track road and join the canal path to Foxton Locks.

Good firm walks on the canal side in this warm weather.

Up over the bridge for refreshments at Foxton.

There was some confusion where we could get our drinks from, the cafe or the pub but it was soon sorted.   Very pleasant to enjoy our drinks and chat by the canal side with a jazz band playing in the background.

 

On our way back across the fields to Gumley and the cars.
