It was drizzly and damp so decided on walking from Enderby Leisure Centre in a circular path so if it did start to rain we could get back to the Leisure Centre quite quickly.
All the best organised plans don't always happen - we all got soaked!
The rain came down so hard ponds formed very quickly. As we were already quite wet we decided to carry on regardless.
It was a good opportunity to check out our water proof clothing was still actually waterproof. Those of us not wearing water proofs, including the writer of this blog because rain wasn't forecast, will think again in future. Mother Nature will have her way.
Now back to the best part of the day. At the Leisure Centre everybody sat down with drinks and enjoyed a good old natter whilst drying off.
Then a surprise announcement was made wishing one of our fellow walkers a wonderful day as she was getting married tomorrow. We'd all contributed to give a small present to remember her special day.
Lots of cheering and warm wishes from everyone followed.

We've just celebrated the golden wedding of two of our walkers and now a wedding - isn't life grand! Congratulations to the happy couples.
