2/2/24 walking from Market Bosworth.

It was very cool, dressed for the occasion.

Another addition to the family on top of the thatch we think.

Leaving Market Bosworth behind.

Out into the country.

A few snowdrops to whet our appetite for next week.

A pause to let everyone catch up.

A short stretch across the fields.

A man made barrier and great food supply.

Further out into the muddy fields.

Somebody has been shopping?

A lot of mud to contend with and very muddy boots to clean later but no complaints, as usual.

Still smiling.

Great views over the battlefields.

Refreshments at the Visitor Centre.

Great coffee, the tea was good too.

Plenty of chat.

Cake was really nice.

Before leaving we apologised for our muddy boots.  Absolutely no problem we were told.  The friendly staff made us feel very welcome, thank you, we will be back (hopefully on a not so muddy day!).

Sun's out, hasn't yet had time to dry up the mud.

Well, that stretch of the walk proved that field walking is not a good idea at the moment, as if we didn't already know that!

Past the barriers on to firm terrain.

The sun was really warm and we found ourselves peeling off a layer or two.

The trees looking magnificent with or without their leaves.

Back at the car park, all in all, a very good day.

The first camellia peeping out.

See you all next week.
